The Asia Pacific SBCC Regional Symposium 2023 is the first symposium on social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) to be held in the region.
The symposium will gather professionals, experts and thought leaders from around the world for two days at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), the largest waterfront purpose-built convention centre in East Malaysia.
The Symposium serves as a transformative platform that highlights the importance of SBCC, the significance of communication in driving positive social and individual behaviour change, and its impact in developing communities that are responsive to adversity.
A key focus of this Symposium is to challenge the current conceptions surrounding the definition and role of communication in fostering a deeper appreciation for its power and potential.
To increase awareness, understanding and appreciation towards SBCC through a showcase of SBCC works from different sectors and countries
To strengthen the SBCC network with various stakeholders, strategic partners and key players in the region
To unlock potential for SBCC investment opportunities in the region
