SBCC in Southeast Asia and the South Pacific: Unlocking its Potential for Community Development and Resilience

The Asia Pacific SBCC Regional Symposium 2023 is the first symposium on social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) to be held in the region.

The symposium will gather professionals, experts and thought leaders from around the world for two days at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), the largest waterfront purpose-built convention centre in East Malaysia.

The Symposium serves as a transformative platform that highlights the importance of SBCC, the significance of communication in driving positive social and individual behaviour change, and its impact in developing communities that are responsive to adversity.

A key focus of this Symposium is to challenge the current conceptions surrounding the definition and role of communication in fostering a deeper appreciation for its power and potential.
